This Privacy Policy explains how Crowder Rentals LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as A&J Time Rentals (“Crowder Rentals,” “we,” “us,” “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit crowderrentals.com (the “Site”), contact us, reserve equipment, or rent from our yard at 11401 W 44th Ave #1, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
We are a local equipment rental business. We collect what we need to rent equipment to you, get it to you, get it back, and get paid. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Information we collect
You give us:
- Name, business name, phone number, email address, billing address and, for delivery, the jobsite address.
- Reservation details: what you rented, when, delivery or pickup, and any notes about the job or site access.
- Identification: a government-issued driver’s license or photo ID is presented at the counter, and is required at checkout for delivery orders. Depending on the rental, we or our rental platform may record the ID number, expiration and a scanned image.
- Payment information: card details are collected and processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems; we retain a token, the card brand and the last four digits so we can bill the rental, place the refundable deposit hold, and settle charges at return.
- Correspondence: emails, texts, voicemails and counter notes about your rental or account.
- Business credit applications, if you apply for on-account billing (including trade references and information necessary for a credit review).
We collect automatically when you use the Site:
- IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, search terms used on the Site, and dates and times of access.
- Cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising cookies (see Cookies and advertising below).
We receive from others: our rental management platform, our payment processor, delivery and logistics records, and, if you apply for credit, consumer or commercial credit reporting sources.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive data such as Social Security numbers, health information, biometric identifiers or precise geolocation, and we ask that you not send it to us. A driver’s license image may contain data elements we do not use; we use it only to verify identity and eligibility to rent.
How we use information
We use personal information to: take, confirm and manage reservations and rentals; verify identity, age and eligibility to rent; process payments, deposit holds, refunds and final invoices; schedule and complete delivery and pickup; contact you about an active rental, a return, a change or a problem; recover equipment that is not returned and collect amounts owed; maintain rental, damage and maintenance records; evaluate and administer business credit accounts; provide customer service and respond to questions; improve our Site, catalog and services; run and measure our own advertising; and comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
How we share information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers who work on our behalf: our rental management and booking platform, payment processor, website host and IT support, analytics and advertising providers, delivery and towing help, and professional advisors. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
- Credit and collections: credit reporting or collection agencies if an account is past due or equipment is not returned.
- Legal and safety: law enforcement, courts, regulators, insurers or other parties where we believe disclosure is required by law or subpoena, necessary to investigate suspected fraud or theft, necessary to recover our equipment, or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Crowder Rentals, our customers or the public.
- Business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy.
- With your direction, for example when you ask us to coordinate with your contractor, employee or property manager.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not process personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Our use of third-party advertising cookies may be considered “targeted advertising” under Colorado law; see below for how to opt out.
Cookies and advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the site and remember your session, plus analytics cookies that tell us which pages and equipment people look at, and advertising cookies that let us measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited the Site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent reservations from working. We honor a Universal Opt-Out Mechanism, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, as an opt-out of targeted advertising for the browser that sends it.
Your Colorado privacy rights
If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act gives you the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy in a portable format;
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
- Delete personal data we hold about you;
- Opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
To exercise a right, call (303) 423-7448 or email [email protected] with your name, the phone number or email on your rental, and what you are asking for. We will verify your identity — usually with information already associated with your rental record — and respond within 45 days, or tell you why we need up to 45 more.
Appeals. If we decline your request, our response will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to that response or writing to Crowder Rentals LLC, Attn: Privacy Appeal, 11401 W 44th Ave #1, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. We will respond to an appeal within 45 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov to submit a complaint.
Limits. We may retain and use information despite a deletion request where we are required or permitted to do so — for example to complete a rental, collect a debt, keep tax and accounting records, maintain equipment damage and safety records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authority.
If you live outside Colorado, you may have similar rights under your state’s law; contact us and we will handle your request in the same way.
Data retention
We keep rental and transaction records for as long as needed to operate the business and to satisfy tax, accounting, insurance, warranty, safety and legal-hold requirements — generally seven years for financial records. Identification images and payment tokens are kept only as long as needed for the rental, dispute and chargeback windows, and any related claim. Website analytics data is kept in aggregated or de-identified form.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the size of our business, including access controls on our systems, a payment processor that keeps card data out of our hands, and limits on which staff can view identification records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as Colorado law requires.
Children
The Site is intended for business and adult consumer use. You must be at least 18 to rent from us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party sites
The Site links to manufacturer pages, mapping services, our booking platform and other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the Site or continued rentals after the effective date means the updated Policy applies.
